Please tell me if this is an oversimplified solution to the world-wide refugee immigration crisis:

Doesn't it make sense to help immigrants IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY rather than putting the economic/environmental burden on host countries that already have their own problems?

And doesn't it seem that, the more immigrants you let in, it only perpetuates a larger influx of immigrants?

Maybe we should be telling other countries to get their act together, reject socialism, embrace capitalism, eliminate bureaucracy and corruption, AND TAKE CARE OF THEIR OWN DAMN PEOPLE!

It is OK for the President to violate government laws as long as he violates the law within his official capacity.

Hillary is piggybacking that same power.

True but these countries have very corrupt leadership. Even relief funds & food to these countries doesnt reach the poor & needy. The containers are auctioned off to food sellers & rich merchants. Very common in Pakistan. A natural disaster is a huge profit opportunity for their leaders & the rich.Do not see the refugees as 'oppressed victims' as a lot of them are responsible for this corruption & extremism in their own countries. The few liberal free thinkers like me find an escape through education or job to relocate permanently to the west because I am a misfit in my corrupt country. The ones who stayed back are escaping now after they ruined their country so they need a new home. If you have never stepped into the third world, you will find this very difficult to believe.

Bringing them here is the worst solution to their self created problems especially when they are not used to & even hate westernization. Its like suddenly shining a bright light at a person who lived in dark all their life. Liberals use feel good brainwashing to bring them here because Saudi is paying these liberal leaders big money to rehabilitate refugees. That way the refugees dont go knocking at other middle eastern rich countries. Dont you think it makes more sense for the rich middle east countries to accept them as they align with that culture easily? Why us? Because our economy is failing & our leaders are bought easily so we have become the bad neighborhoods of the world. You can easily find a cheap house in a bad neighborhood without any rigorous vetting process. Same with us. We have to take them in so that the good neighborhoods are clean & free of crime. Dont be fooled into thinking its a humanitarian cause to help them. Our leaders are making big money out of this deal. We are the ones who have to support the refugees & also get assaulted by them.

Yes, yes, yes to everything the OP points out.

1) You can provide TEN refugees with shelter, safety and food by implementing relief CLOSER TO THEIR HOMES for the cost of resettling just ONE refugee "in the west."

Refugee resettlement is a terrible idea from both a utilitarian perspective. All it serves is people's own egos and allows them to polish their halos.

2) Accepting "refugee migrations" leads to add-ons like what is happening to Europe. REAL refugees make up just a fraction of those claiming to be refugees. "Economic migrants" and "benefits shoppers" comprise the vast, vast majority of "refugees" (if the fact that they are overwhelmingly 18-35 year men wasn't the first sign for the brain trusts that run Europe).

ALL immigration has a PUSH and a PULL effect. While you're tackling the PUSH, you cannot continue to create a magnet. Look at what happened when "amnesty" was on the radar a year or so ago. MASSIVE influxes of unaccompanied "minors" and other illegal border-rushes.
