Given the fact that you are a liberal, and thus a totalitarian who does not believe in the rule of law and the rights of EVERY CITIZEN, let us remind you of a similar time in US history.
In 1900, the "wealth gap" of the US was similar to that of today. Robber barons (like Wall Street and liberal elites of today) controlled most of the wealth in the US. Then came a New York populist who was a supporter of the middle class (not the elites) and instituted reforns which "leveled the playing field" and prevented the establishment of an elite ruling class over a slave class.
Trump is the modern Teddy Roosevelt. You, as a liberal, are an archaic "throwback" to the notion that a two tiered feudal system of ruling elites over the proliteriat would be dandy in the US.
