This was the first presidential election in which I voted for the Republican. I'm not sure I'll be voting for Democrats again. The attitude expressed in the example I gave above is pretty much the attitude behind many of the party's policies. I wouldn't want my white male vote to sully the purity of the Democratic party.
Being the blonde blue eyed white immigrant kid in Canada...back in the 50s and 60s...there were no VISABLE minorities...there were no Asians - no blacks other than my music teacher...and no browns or various shades of brown.
We were the foreigners in a red neck neighbourhood....we were the BLACK people - they beat my brother...tossed rocks though our windows....little mobs would gather in front of our house taunting us....so...my point is you can all shut up....racism has nothing to do with color...stupid evil people will attack and persecute you the same way animals will attack another animal that smells and sounds different....It is the barbarism of nature.
