Apart from your occasional beer, I don't do drugs. But why does it matter if somebody else does? I've never understood that.

Our Drug policies are flawed and dumb. 1 in 5 people is locked up for a NON VIOLENT drug offense.

Quite frankly the issue isn't even with the left/liberals either. Even the most moderate/centrist of democrats will jump ship and legalize (libertarians I know are socially liberal on this issue as well). I've come to the conclusion that it's republicans who pride themselves on liberty that hypocritically want to regulate this as much as possible. My home state of Texas currently has some dumb liquor laws. TABC is a joke, and it's heavily influenced by its Bible Belt politicians. 10 counties in my home state counties are completely "dry" counties, where no sales of alcoholic beverages are legal anywhere in the county. I am pretty sure there is plenty of ADULTS who could decide for themselves whether or not they want to drink it up.

So again, those on the right, why does it matter to you if a pothead wishes to smoke it up? Why spend BILLIONS and billions on something that will never get resolved. Don't attack the user, help the user, isn't that what Jesus would do? help the sick? Instead of locking them up in a jail cell, offer free counseling and therapy/rehab to those who seek it.

Because we probably don't want Big Tobacco marketing street drugs to the public.

I'm ok with "decriminalization" of all drugs, but I don't support full legalization.

Totally agree. We should use tax revenue from its use to advertise against it and rehabilitate when necessary.

Write to Trump and Congress to make all drugs legal.

Wait for response.

Because the War on Drugs is a huge employment program. It keeps many bulldog goons employed and supports entire industries.
