Republicans will get used to the sneering just like we did. At some point the country will be so divided they will not be able to stand any proximity to each other.

I rarely see Republicans sneering at other people or trying to divide the country into baskets. That's a very liberal attitude and you perfectly encapsulated it in your post. Being small and petty doesn't bring people into the fold.
