We now have members of the billionaire class who have donated/bribed heavily to politicians for decades now running the government promising us that the corrupt old system will be fixed. This system made these people incredibly rich. Why would they dismantle this corrupt "swamp"? It doesnt make any sense.

They are not dismantling anything significant. Just watch. It's going to be some lip service, a couple of gestures, and then nothing. Already Trump is walking back some of his campaign promises.

These people think they can trade on "insider" information, "insider" meaning: information directly from inside the White House. They're probably right.

Another of these post? The rich will always have the system stacked in their favor. Instead of complaining all time why don't you learn to play the game called life. Life ain't fair deal with it.

So is that the excuse you tell yourself when voting for a billionaire that surrounds himself with out of touch elitist billionaires? The swamp is about to get really thick and it is thanks to the Republicans.

I have no problem with an oligarchy or authoritarian government. Perhaps the liberal left would be forcefully silence for a change.

You do realize that would require you to also sell your freedoms....seems like a weird thing for one to claim they would want....but I guess you might get what you are asking for....I hope you still like it after your rights are gone....

Trump campaigned on the promise to change this corrupt system of government that rigs the economy and sell out the workers. Now you are saying that nothing will change and we should "deal with it"?

So you like that the corrupt and rigged system will not be fixed because it makes them incredibly rich?

So far Trump has stated that he will only take a $1 salary and give the rest to charity. He is working though problems that could expose any conflict of interest and it will not be easy. The Clintons left the WH broke and now are worth well over $100,000,000. The Clintons never spoke out against special interest and lobbyist - they love the Pay to Play system.

Until he takes office all you or me can do is speculate. The problem with our Presidential election is that we would never even get any chance to run; we don't have the funds. Trump got that chance because he did have the funds to fight the system. Heck; he had richer billionaires fighting him at every turn - like Soros. Now you are playing sour grapes because he is rich; if he wasn't he would be on the outside, like us, looking in!
