More of her

I like her style. She looks pretty down to earth and she does a good job!

I don't have a problem with that. Hijab is also a good protection against cold especially in Canada. In the UK, they have many hijabi anchors already. In the US, we hire anchors for their appearance and not for their qualifications.

Some of these Hijab look pretty cool.

I will never wear it, I like beanie, Fedora, and baseball cap, but some Muslims look pretty good with the head scarf.

Anyone else get the feeling that the Hijab is being fetishized in the West?

Yes

The hijab is worn by Conservative Muslims and is cheered by Liberals in the West.

Don't think so.

Most of us just don't care. That thing doesn't really bother most of us. (I am a conservative.)

Most of us don't give it too much thought.

Radicalized a-hole terrorists, that is another story.

People clearly think about it a lot, especially people who would not be caught dead wearing one.

During the last Olympics, the announcers swooned over an athlete competing in a Hijab.

Apple featured a commercial with a girl wearing one.

Those are off the top of my head. There are many more instances.

Now, I understand its part of a group's culture. So be it.

But don't sell it to me as something cool or admirable. The same crowd that is having orgasms over Hijabs is the one that scowls at Orthodox Jewish women, Amish women, and Nuns.

Yeah, I agree with you.

I think so too.
