Prior to what was considered "modern" history, it was common to carry a sword while in the city.
Eventually that dwindled as the civilization progressed, and only the most rural of country mice would carry a weapon into an urban area. Like a caveman carrying a spear.
I often wonder if this is simply a cyclical human event, where the people openly carrying firearms in Starbucks are really just rural peasants carrying swords in the agora.
Well, he has the right to demand such in his private business, and people have the right to no shop with him.
I am all for liberty of the individual and a private business is private property and not subject to the whim of others. If people don't like it, don't go there.
That said, he better post the 30.06 and 30.07 signs here in Texas or people can ignore his demands.
As others have said, they should be able to set such rules for their stores.
If I am carrying and going to buy jeans but they have a 30.06 sign up, I'll just buy jeans elsewhere so I don't have to leave my gun in the car to possibly be stolen.
