Just answer this question: do you think that someone with regard for the American taxpayer would spend over $1 billion of their money, just so his wife could maintain her New York lifestyle?
What's going on in NY and Melania staying there has nothing to do with Michelle and republicans. We are talking about tax payers money. Don't you understand how much it will cost us. You complain about Obama playing golf but it doesn't cost us a million dollars a day which is what it will cost to keep Melania in NY. Where do you think this money is going to come from. We don't need this unnecessary debt nor should we have to pay for it.
What's a billion among Presidents, Obama added trillions each year to our debts.
I never said NY was poor but they don't need to have their lives turned upside down and pay for extra cops because the first lady doesn't want to live in the white house. How would you like it if this was your city. I'm sure you would raise holy hell. If you want to pay the million a day cost then you can but I don't want to.
Untwist your knickers and get on with your own life.
De Blasio gave a press conference today in which he cited the cost at $500k per day, which is still a serious chunk of money. I think excerpts are still available at CNN if you want to watch it yourself.
The Obama girls, the Bush girls, Chelsea Clinton, Amy Carter, Susan Ford, the Kennedy children (who were toddlers) all handled their immediate transition to the White House very well. You guys act as if Barron Trump is going off to a prison camp.
Why can't you guys just be honest and admit that Melania and her son are "special snowflakes".
Of course they are "special snowflakes", and that's why they deserve and get special protection. Something wrong with that?
