If Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council has his way we will be. He has called on the State Department under Trump to root out and fire all LGBT individuals and people with pro-LGBT stances.
How is this American? Conservatives say their fight is all about religious freedom, but this proves that isn't their goal. "Religious freedom" is not a factor in terms of whether or not a person can work for the federal government, which is supposed to be secular. Their goal is to bully every LGBT individual back into the closet or destroy them. For what reason? So they can feel good about themselves.
I gotta admit...the post above just doesn't make any sense.
Especially considering Rex Tillerson lobbied the Boy Scouts of America to open membership to all, irrespective of sexual orientation.
It would please Putin and the Russians if he did, that is for sure, not to mention bringing our policies into closer agreement with theirs. Trump is a great admirer of Putin and the Russians, so don't be so sure it won't happen.
