I thought the House wrote the tax code, and laws because that is what is needed.
I think he may mean the effect the ACA has had on health insurance premiums.

He has disclosed his tax returns all along. He earned $ 436,065 in gross income last year, of which $400,00 was his salary, approved by Congress in 1999.

Like ALL former presidents and most cabinet members and politicians, he will likely earn handsome fees on the speaker's circuit, going forward. Like the others, he will earn more for a 45 minute speech than most people earn in a year.

Giuliani made $11 million a year in speaking fees, in 2011 based on his disclosed tax return associated with his primary run. That's small potatoes compared to the fee a former president can command and get on the speaker's circuit.

No worries. The swamp is being drained and replaced with an unprecidented number of billionaires, all of whom do quite well on the speaker's circuit.

If there is one thing for which the Obamas deserve respect from both liberals and conservatives alike, it is this: they have set a good example as both a couple and as parents. They deserve this time together as a family wherever they choose to live.
Yeah it's nice that after killing other people's children, he looks after his own. Although It's doubtful there will be any drone strikes wherever he relocates to.

Yeah, the Rancho Mirage and Hawaii purchases are both just reported, not confirmed.

Royalties on book sales.

You can track his income and sources on his tax returns.

An ex president can earn $ hundreds of thousands in a 45 minute speaking engagement.

Perhaps Frank does not care for the 16th amendment which became law in 1913.

It will be interesting to see where they are in a few years. It's possible Chicago will no longer feel like home when all is said and done, and they might be ready for a fresh start somewhere new. And President Obama's future plans will play into it, too. He's still a relatively young man, who probably isn't entirely ready to pack it all in and play golf for the rest of his life. Of course, Mrs. Obama's plans are relevant, too.

The Bidens do receive income from the Secret Service for a rental cottage. The property was already a rental when the Secret Service took it over.

I did not find confirmation that a contract to rent space in Trump Tower has been agreed upon, only that it is being negotiated.

The Federal Government built a compound on the Reagan Ranch. One of the many structures still remains. I don't know of the Federal Government leased the land.
