"Three days and three sunken ships are again confronting Europe with the horrors of its refugee crisis, as desperate people trying to reach the Continent keep dying at sea. At least 700 people from the three boats are believed to have drowned, the United Nations refugee agency announced on Sunday, in one of the deadliest weeks in the Mediterranean in recent memory. The latest drownings — which would push the death toll for the year to more than 2,000 people — are a reminder of the cruel paradox of the Mediterranean calendar: As summer approaches with blue skies, warm weather and tranquil waters prized by tourists, human trafficking along the North African coastline traditionally kicks into a higher gear.

That was written May 2016 with the reality there has been a massive death toll of the people fleeing war torn areas of the M.E.
"Google keeps statistics on all queries made on the search engine. On behalf of ZEIT ONLINE, the company examined how many people in Syria in 2015 searched for word combinations like "asylum in Germany" or "immigration to Germany." Not everyone who searches these terms plans to flee, of course, but it demonstrates how many people were looking for information. The dataset shows that such searches rose significantly in August 2015 -- making it clear that many Syrians were already looking for information about migrating to Germany before the chancellor’s gestures. With that said, these people really didn't want to leave their countries. If a war broke out in the U.S. would you leave? If so, where would you go? It takes courage to do what those people are doing, in leaving; trying to survive, plus with all the push back for the obvious reason not all people are good people ...
There are rapist, murders and terrorist that don't need to migrant in from another country as they are ... home grown.
Brilliant strategy by Putin to weaken Western Europe and Merkel took the bait. Thank God Trump got elected because Clinton would have taken it to. How stupid is Merkel, to let in a bunch of terrorist refugees.

And yet other groups who also didn't want to leave their countries do so and arrive in their host country with gratitude and a willingness to fit in. No crimes, no sexual assaults, no arson, no demands.
What is your point? That countries should be willing to take in those who are culturally different...just because we have our own problems?
There have been acts of terror, sexual assaults, harassment of Jews and homosexuals, and demands by people from that region in every country they've migrated to.
We have enough problems. If you want to be Mother Teresa, take your family and move to a country having these problems so you're exposing YOUR loved ones to all of this, and not mine.
