Putting our embassy in Jerusalem, installing a right wing US ambassador and constructing more settlements on the west bank should have a soothing effect on Israel's Arab neighbors.

Let's get real. If the Arabs REALLY thought the Jews/Israel was the root of all their problems, they would've collectively gotten together and decimated Israel by now. And if you think just because Israel "might" have nukes, well then there is Pakistan who actually does. So what's really holding them back? If they have no problems with 1000's of Arabs dying in relation to Muslim causes, then they should have no problem with 1000's of Arabs dying to kill a few Million Jews. There are 390 Million Arabs in 22 Arab countries, yet they don't. Maybe, just maybe they know the West is their true problem and the West will waste their own time and resources kicking Israel to the ground not realizing that they are quietly and slowly being invaded where there will be a time when the Muslims will rise and attack from within gaining all the spoils of war and causing the least amount of damage. Thus making the world 100% Muslim.

Hamas, Hezbollah and all these other little groups are a joke. They are a thumbtack in ones foot. They are a distraction. The Arabs do a load of sword rattlings, yet they don't use the swords. Again 390 Million Arabs can but don't take out 8 Million Jews.
If anyone here wants the background on this I posted on another thread the Frontline (PBS) title Netanyahu At War. It gives a stunning account of Obama's now intentional failure and the response. It's no surprise that in the shadow of his presidency ending with all it's failures he hits back at the state of Israel surrounded by hostile forces.
Typical of the bully he always wanted to be. A cheap shot and one fraught with danger.
Israel does not need the money, BUT the US wrote the Israel-Egypt Treaty and made themselves part of it. And as everyone knows a contract is a contract. Israel can't refuse it, but they can just bank it thus not spending it. So what if it all has to be spent in the US and so what if a few 100k Americans are terminated from their jobs. The US is a rich country and doesn't need a few Billion dollars pumped into their economy as they can easily find it somewhere else.

Sadly there is not. Obama is doing a lot of stupid things right now to destroy the United States and europe even more.
