And if the ignorant people are the majority?

Didn't the UN Security Council just vote to censure Israel?

Isn't Russia on the Security Council?

So essentially the U.S. is supporting Russia in this. I thought they were our new best friend. Why would we want to act in opposition to them at the UN?

A nuclear state can indeed be destroyed. The whole point of nuclear weapons is to destroy other nations.

It will likely bring a lot of others down with them. Hence the deterrence factor of possessing nuclear weapons.

But this only if works if you're dealing with sane, non-ignorant people.

All bets are off if you are dealing with those eagerly awaiting the rapture or the forty virgins.

Or those who are clueless about what they're getting everyone into, such as leaders who wonder aloud about the point of having nuclear weapons if you don't use them.

Thank you, but heartbreaking, right?

Heartbreaking because anyone of these people constantly commenting that Obama and his entire administration is simply out to ruin America and the rest of the world is not going to listen, and even if they do, they can't understand.

Heartbreaking because this that Kerry explains about there being no better alternative is not true for all too many people who think the status quo is better than peace. For them, the ongoing violence and mounting body counts are better than a peace that might mean less for them than they want, less for them than they already have.

Heartbreaking because the same case has been made so many times before, only to go from bad to worse, more take and less give.

Heartbreaking because now too it seems Trump is also going to make matters worse...

We didn't, try and keep up.

Peace is impossible because Arabs will never give up on the "right of return". Even Kerry said that it's unrealistic, but they insist.

But here we are talking, usually even quite politely. In "Palestine", if a leader will agree to a peace without the "right of return" he will live 5 minutes.

Tell me more about how Israel is "colonizing" Arab land?

Exactly.

It is foolish.

It isn't Israel who destroyed the Palestinian's homes, it was the ARABS who attacked Israel.

Show me where Israel is oppressing the many Palestinians who already enjoy a much higher standard of living as Israeli citizens.

A "two-state solution" is dumb. The last thing Israel needs is another oppressive Arab state in that close of proximity to them.

Kerry is also an imbecile stating "You must be a Jewish state or a democracy you can't be both." They've been both for quite sometime and it has worked out well for the vast majority of those living there, even the Muslims. Can't say the same about Jews and Christians living in Muslim countries can you?

History check: Israel became America's problem when Churchill decided to wash his hands of it. That was well before the late 60s.

Now this too about how a nuclear state cannot be destroyed is making it very clear how poor your understanding of reality truly is.

Ignorance comes in many forms and sadly there are few quick remedies. I know better than to think that even simple reasoned logic can help in such circumstances.

Ignorance is also why we have few leaders and many followers, but unfortunately there are too few leaders who really care as much as they should about their followers. Another problem with no easy remedies, but more ignorance never helps. At least that's for sure...
