Be clear who you mean by "they!"

You mean the terrorists? Yes, true. You mean all Muslims? Wrong, not true.

While I did not vote for Trump apparently others have no stomach for more surrender.
Again the comparison of ISIS and radical Islamic terrorism with the circumstances of WWII.

Again in a word, ignorance.

So far vast majority of their victims have been other muslims, but they would prefer it to be muslims vs "others", because that would ensure them huge numbers of recruits.

Cult?

Please...

Christian countercult movement

Walter Martin (1928–1989), American author and leading figure in the Christian countercult movement.

In the 1940s, the long held opposition by some established Christian denominations to non-Christian religions and/or supposedly heretical, or counterfeit, Christian sects crystallized into a more organized Christian countercult movement in the United States. For those belonging to the movement, all religious groups claiming to be Christian, but deemed outside of Christian orthodoxy, were considered cults.

I could go on with the ongoing badly needed education about such things, but something tells me no one cares to stick to the truth of these matters...

They are picking up where the Crusaders left off. It doesn't matter if YOU think it is a religious war. THEY think that way already.

I had not got as far as your comment and same question as mine. Who is "they?"

Thanks, exactly.

People just can't seem to distinguish the bad apples from the rest, or maybe they just don't want to, because that takes a little more critical thinking and restraint. Who needs that?

Trump rightfully calls them Radical Islamic Terrorists. obama calls them brothers in arms.
obama and his miserable wife hates America, and won't call terrorists what they are because he is, and always has been, on their side.
America was lucky to have survived his stay in the WH.

Partly true.

The characteristics or deviations that define a terrorist are many, but one need simply consider our own home-grown terrorists who decide to blow up a Federal building or shoot up a theater to at least begin to understand that these people are for the most part unique as compared to most people, and generally just wrong in the head.

What helps terrorists recruit more terrorists is too many people who are 1) ignorant, and also; easily indoctrinated by whatever narrative fits their violent tendencies, and/or frustrations, overwhelmed with fears of being threatened, people who have little prospects of a quality life, typically young males with issues...

On the other hand, there are those who have resorted to terrorism at a bit higher level of sophistication. Say for example, the Irgun group, of King David Hotel bombing fame, labeled a terrorist group by the British.

Who are the terrorists and why are they doing what they are doing?

The answer largely depends on who you ask...

Again with the THEY business...

WHO is THEY?

Since you mention "they are picking up where the Crusades left off," you must be referring to the Christians back in medieval times. Correct?

If anything the moderate Muslims who obey the law and are good citizens should be publicly denouncing any terrorist act that is committed by a radical Muslim in the name of Islam. Every Muslim's life is just made harder if the moderates stay silent.

Where are the imams in the US speaking out against terrorist acts committed by radical Muslims?
I have not seen a public outcry from the "good Muslims" such as Gold Star Father Khizr Khan whose son died for this country and who we all owe a debt that can never be repaid. And while I feel for Mr. Khan I must say he had no problem bashing Trump while waving around his pocket copy of the constitution. Spend more time Mr. Khan speaking out against those that pervert your religion! Then maybe other Muslim soldiers in the US military may not have to give their lives to fight terrorism! Have a ground swell that starts within the Muslim community!

Perhaps if the current occupant of the White House had taken the responsibility of protecting US citizens from terrorism and called out those who use a religion to commit acts of terrorism, we would have a better handle on the situation!
Oh, indeed.

If ONLY Obama had uttered the magic words 'Radical Islamic Terorists" and waved the magic wand - we would be as safe as GWB kept us.
