Why can't I hate Bush and Obama for being money wasting war criminals utterly contemptuous of civil liberties and thinking the executive branch is the only branch?

Remember back in the 1990's, when deficits mattered, and the federal government made good progress at reducing the deficit? So good that there were papers being floated in Washington about how paying off the entire Federal debt might be bad for the economy because could potentially remove T-Bills from the world's investment portfolio? Surely you remember, right?

Remember when January 20, 2001 rolled around, and all of a sudden deficits didn't matter, and we could afford generous tax cuts for high income earners and could put two foreign wars and a federal prescription drug benefit for retirees on the national credit card? And how none of it mattered until 2007 when the Republicans lost control of Congress? Remember that?

Just wait - by 2017, with the Republicans in firm control of all three branches of the federal government, deficits won't matter again.

Don't pretend you didn't know. Those wars he started (that Obama got saddled with) were extremely expensive, not to mention: his tax cuts for the wealthy--a deadly combination guaranteed to trash even the healthiest economy.
Worst President ever!

Obama constantly blasted those "Bush tax cuts" because they "benefitted the wealthy"

Yet, when Obama had the golden opportunity to do away with those "evil tax cuts" in their entirety, he backed down.

He said that rescinding the Bush tax cuts would be a " catastrophy for poor people "

Tax breaks are good. Because the money trickles down, um... to...
the kids of the people who get the tax breaks.

Deficits are also good! Because the debt trickles down....to...um...everybody's kids and grandkids.

What would we have done without Reagan inventing trickle-down economics?

President Trump already said they wouldnt remember. He said If Obama had made progress by running it up, it wouldnt matter. In an interview, he likened it to buying a good decent house that you would live in for the rest of your life.

To be clear, I actually agree with his argument, disagree on who he blaming for it.

No worries now. With a Republican President and congress, there will be no crime, no unemployment and no debt.

"He backed down". Yeah, right. And a Republican Congress vehemently obstructing such moves had nothing to do with it? Tell me another fairy tale.

They both earned failing grades in my book for running up the debt.
