Democrats keep repeating fake news that 17 intell agencies have proof that Russia did it. First- why is there 17 intell agencies and second, I want to see all 17 heads of those agencies to show proof of what was 'hacked' and swear that it is legit.
That's the question of the year! Lol

There may not be once Trump gets in office, which could be part of why they're trying to keep him out with this Russian hacking nonsense.

Seth Rich, who was working on the DNC databases was shot dead in the back four times, with nothing stolen while out strolling at 4am in DC. - Still further, how do we know that information, even if hacked by the Russians (unproven), even if leaked to Wikileaks (unproven), led to Hillary's loss? She didn't campaign very hard, her policy was not exciting, she personally is not likable & voters weren't energized by her. Progressives were angry over the DNC screwing Bernie (who, along with Jill Stein are also Russian pawns according to the D's ) so they stayed home. Blacks weren't as energized as they were for Obama, so they stayed home. Hispanics & women liked Trump a lot more than the D's figured they would. Farmers, laborers, teamsters, teachers & union members in general rejected her at alarming rates. There's just nothing to prove that the exposed corruption was her undoing.

- Also, why didn't any of you care until after Trump won? And why don't you care about all the other foreign actors who influenced our elections?
They'll never answer these questions, just continue to yell "Russia!" and "electoral college", then call you a hateful racist. Hopefully they'll have some new material around this time in 2020.

Yes I did, that's my point. Did anyone question that North Korea hacked into Sony, did they come up with conpiracy theories and claim that this was contrived.

I believe that the leaked information was from an insider and not the Russians. I also believe the security agencies that have facts in hand that show Russian attempts and entry into servers associated with the election. Two different actions.

If something as serious as accusing another country of trying to disrupt our election is alleged, this is very weak.

It says the phishing started in the summer of 2015. Pretty early on to be doing this all for Trump. In fact Trump is not mentioned nor anything about Russia trying to help him.

In the report:

Actors likely associated with RIS are continuing to engage in spearphishing campaigns, including one launched as recently as November 2016, just days after the U.S. election.

But Obama said:

President Barack Obama said Friday that he told Russian President Vladimir Putin in September to “cut it out” in regard to allegations that his nation engaged in cyberattacks against the U.S. electoral process. Obama added that further hacking by Russia did not occur following Obama’s admonition.

Somebody is lying!
Nothing in the report links Trump to any of this or that they were trying to sway the election and only states on one sentence that they info was leaked to the press. They don't even mention the DNC or Podesta for some reason. Very odd.

The U.S. Government assesses that information was leaked to the press and publicly disclosed.

Obviously it was disclosed. Wikileaks had it. Disclosed by who? A democratic operative or Russia? Not at all clear.
Good post - as I always appreciate when people gathering information to form an opinion. I will read the report this morning.

I will post some stuff later on this - but for now, with regards to the bold - we should be hammering our people for shoddy security practices.

We don't control Russia. We can put people out and act like we are angry. Russia will probably still try to hack into other countries. We do control what happens here. One of the things I read was that the RNC was targeted as well, but Russia did not get access. So what's wrong with the DNC?

I'm inclined to believe it may have been a pissed-off Bernie supporter with front door access to the e-mails in question...perhaps an IT worker.

People who wanted HC to win are profoundly disappointed. That can be a tough emotion to handle especially when you have millions who share your viewpoint. So, along comes Russia, or Assange or Comey who serves as a patsy to explain the unfairness of it all. Folks there is nothing to see here. Not a whit. This hacking goes on everyday from all countries.

The interesting part is that with a 22 days left in his miserably failed legacy, the big O is stirring this up to the point now of Russia retaliating. I don't like the man but even I would not have predicted that he would turn into a world stage petite bete (child) and attempt to provoke the big bear. It's silly, unnecessary and equally incorrect to leave the mess to the new incoming guy and his team. So be it.

Those who think the O is the big C are not surprised. (cheese). The point is that HE thinks that he is. So he pokes the bear once, maybe twice and sees what goes down. hint: bears don't like to be poked.

Its a sad lesson (back to disappointment) that if you can't keep your sh.. together for others, you probably should not have a lot of responsibility.

21 days.

Whether Obama is right or wrong, Trump needs to side with his fellow American on this, not take sides with a hostile foreign adversary.
