For example this maybe an exaggeration but if a billion or more people wanted to come into the country. Would you have an issue with that. And would you allow anyone to enter the country including criminals.
Nope, I don't support it. In fact I think we should severely curtail immigration and do away with the H1B visa altogether.

I actually do not know a single liberal that is for it. I know some libertarians that vote as Republicans that do.

I am for "open borders", mostly because I am an immigrant, and apparently my economic views are moderately liberal and centrist leaning authoritarian socially. I have favored more Democrats over Republicans so I guess I count as a liberal.
The reason why I am for open borders is because I am an immigrant myself and got citizenship in 2009-2010 or so the proper way (can't remember). My belief is, how can so deny someone the right to migrate to this wonderful country when I did so myself.

I completely agree and in these forums I have been called everything from a socialist to a *******, so I guess I'm qualified to answer. I don't think open borders would ever work and I think that employers who hire undocumented people should be sent to prison for a very long time. Next question?
Already done. It's called NAFTA.
Already done. Guest worker visa program including T1 and H visas. There are many ways for Medians to come work in USA legally.
NAFTA destroyed the Mexican farming economy and the T1 Visa is for victims of human trafficking, not guest workers.
Farmers universally hate the farm worker visa (H2A) because it's expensive and it requires them to determine how many workers they need before they can accurately forecast their harvest. AND why should they pay for H2A visas when they can hire undocumented people with complete impunity.
