Preventing Election of a Demagogue or Charlatan: The Founders did not want a person who would play on public fears and temporary passion to hold the office. Hamilton again: “Talent for low intrigue…may alone suffice to elect a man… but it will require other talents and merit to establish him in the esteem and confidence of the whole Union.”

Preventing Election of a President under Foreign Influence: The Founders feared attempts by other countries to orchestrate the election of a person under their influence. The Founders believed, as Hamilton put it, that the decentralized, layered electoral college guarded against foreign nations “…raising a creature of their own to the chief magistry” of the United States."

I'd say that Trump fails all three tests bigly. And the electoral college failed us by not refusing to elect him.
And I am sure there are many who would disagree, this is a judgment call on your part
, who are you?

Trump's attack on the Civil rights icon and confidante of MLK was also totally off-base in its assessment of the district Lewis represents:

DJT tweet:
“Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results. All talk, talk, talk — no action or results. Sad!” Trump tweeted Saturday.

The truth/reality:
Trump’s assessment does not match Lewis’ district. It is home to Atlanta’s airport and upscale neighborhoods; it houses corporate headquarters such as those of Coca-Cola and Delta Air Lines. Most of the area’s many colleges and universities are situated in the 5th District, where the average annual household income is $73,000. The area is at the national average for college degrees, if somewhat higher on measures of poverty and unemployment.

Donald J Trump has a dangerous habit of spreading untruths and lies. He is the last person that should ever be attacking others for spreading falsehoods given the volume of these he has spoken.

I have a feeling that once his true colors and motives start to surface it will be a lot more than half the country who do not like him.
Well, why don't you jackass liberals wait and see?

It is his MO,method of operation. If he says something enough times it becomes true ,whether it is or not doesn't matter.

Prior to the recession, he wanted to put his name on a massive condo development here. Thankfully, we don't have that marring our skyline.
Got news for ya, Lewis had nothing to do with it, it would have happened Lewis or not.

I guess if you see a car on the railroad tracks you will wait and see what happens when a train comes instead of getting the people out before it hits the car.

From what I have read, Trump's characterization of the district Lewis represents was not correct:

Trump’s assessment does not match Lewis’ district. It is home to Atlanta’s airport and upscale neighborhoods; it houses corporate headquarters such as those of Coca-Cola and Delta Air Lines.

So, if someone in that meeting called you a racist and are not fit to work here, you would just sit there with your mouth shut and take it?

If you say you would, I wouldn't WANT you as an employee of mine.
Trump isn't the boss. All branches of the government are separate.

Not sure if this is only after today's meeting with Comey.
As a democrat and often critic of everything republican say that the electoral college has spoken. In a few days Donald Trump will be President of the United States.

Done.
