But it's clear that way too many regulars on this forum take politics way too seriously.

It isn't fun for them.
Isn't that because political changes, particularly extreme changes, can lead to serious consequences? Remember the Civil War? More recently the Civil Rights Movement? Not saying we are going there, but big political changes can have big consequences that can affect every citizen in this country. I predict that the Trump years will be a lot like the 60's in terms of the level of unrest and division. Stage has been set for it.

Should they even be in Congress?

I think it's time to throw the bums out.

Snowflake crybabies who lost the Electorate in a landslide and a whole lot more in Congress, I blame Barack Obama solely for not reeling them in.

More awkward for him to have to work with them. They represent the people. He represents himself.

This is NOTHING compared to the 60s.

And I'm old enough to remember it all very well.

The Cuban missile crisis; that came SO close to annihilation and still so many have no concept of the fact that we avoided a total nuclear exchange only by dumb luck more than design.

The civil rights struggle, with major cities in flames every summer.

The war in Nam, and all the resulting conflict here at home.

Trump is in a precarious position. A substantial majority of the nation does not approve of his presidency. A man in his position would be expected to make an attempt to foster a national consensus. Instead he continues to spew out lies and insults to everyone who isn't already one of his followers.

We're in for an "interesting" period ahead.

33 LOL Who cares!!

Now had they said 100-150, it may raise an eyebrow.
This just makes me laugh.

Watch it be all those shining examples, that were the exact reason middle America voted Trump, realizing who the real obstructionist were. Those 33.
