The topic isn't about the people holding Trump accountable. They will do that in the voting booth.

The topic is about Democrats in Congress claiming they have the power to do so. They do not. At this point the Democrats in Congress and especially those idiotic enough to sit out the inauguration, are totally powerless to do anything without the GOP.

The Democrat congress at least until 2018 is simply nothing more than a pen full of yapping poodles. i.e. Annoying to listen to, poop on the floor, potentially a flea infestation, and nothing accomplished.

Many people were willing to give him a chance. And he blew it with twitter.
You're going off topic.

This thread asks how Dems are going to hold Trump accountable.

It doesn't ask what you think of him.

Why are the democrats treating Trump so unfairly!!!!!

A "rag tag bunch of protestors" brewed the largest cup of tea in human history when they dumped roughly 46 tons of it into Boston Harbor, setting the stage for the Revolutionary War, which founded (in my opinion) the greatest country to ever be founded.

Isn't that what the British thought of the Founders, merely a nuisance, not to mention traitorous "thugs"?

Really?

I wonder how.

The Democrats don't have the House or the Senate.

In 2018, they'll lose even more seats in the Senate from states that voted for Trump.

They had 18 months to hold him accountable when he was running for office -- didn't happen.

And I'm not even asking "accountable for what?" -- but we can explore that, too.
Hold Trump accountable? This is like when they say to anyone who disagrees with them, "You're on the wrong side of history" or "That's not who we are." They're good at making up meaningless phrases.

Well, we know the right-wing stooges won't hold Trump accountable since they were dumb enough to elect him based on hopes of a "white America" and him fulfilling promises, something he's never had much interest in doing.

As for what they will hold him accountable for, give it time... give it time.

Besides, isn't it rather hypocritical to pretend Trump has nothing to answer to after we've had to listen to 8 years of right-wing loons trying to blame Obama for things that never even happened, much less falsifying events that did happen? If regressive right-wingers actually were interested in accountability, instead of just being sock puppets for big business and big religion, this nation would be a better place.
