I'd say this was the main reason he won. And if winning means appealing, so be it.

The one thing I have learnt from Political Science is that, "every politician is externally controlled".

Large corporates, usually millions of dollars are invested in the politician through the dozens of fund-raisings they host.

Lobbyists are extremely powerful in negotiating with politicians to get those policies which are favorable for the corporate companies. They are even adept at arm-twisting to get the policies they want.

There is not much of a difference between a Republican or a Democratic politician. Everyone is controlled by only those few large Corporate leaders who fund their elections. Every politician is the same because they get money from the same people.

Trump is self-funded and contributions from the American people... we, the American people are his outside source

It's the hair. I fully expect tons of guys to start wearing their hair in a new "Trumpie" style. Remember when Jackie O caused tons of women to start wearing pillbox hats and getting a Jackie hairstyle ? Bet we see "Trumpies" all over the place in the coming months.

He brings out the cognitive dissonance in Americans.

So why?

Fat? I thought liberals were against bullying.

Trump is smarter than me? How? Because he's a billionaire and I'm not?

Trump is a 1%er coastal elite. He lives in a Manhattan skyscraper with his name on it. Most of his cabinet picks are also 1%er coastal elites especially regarding economics and trade. All his policies will benefit 1%er elites. He has nothing in common with Middle America or the working class. They'll figure it out at some point. I hope.

I don't think they'll ever figure it out, they have always thought billionaires like Romney and Trump care about them. They will scream until they're hoarse that their medical insurance remains unaffordable while screaming until they're hoarse that billionaires get tax breaks.

At this point its pretty obvious they think what they are told to think.

It's hard to say how intelligent Trump is. He doesn't talk or write like a high-IQ person, but some of that is just his style. He did enter and graduate from an Ivy League school and has had a very successful career... On the other hand, I've seen hundreds of your posts...
