Seems expensive, but me and Trump agree on infrastructure so maybe we can find a reasonable package.

Senate Democrats to propose $1 trillion infrastructure plan | Fox Business

Quote:
WASHINGTON – Senate Democrats say they plan to offer a proposal Tuesday to spend $1 trillion on transportation and other infrastructure projects over 10 years in an attempt to engage President Donald Trump on an issue where they hope to find common ground.

Details of the plan provided to The Associated Press include a $200 million for a "vital infrastructure fund" to pay for projects of national significance. An example of the types of projects that could be eligible for financing from the fund is the Gateway Program to repair and replace aging rail lines and tunnels between New York and New Jersey, some of which are over 100 years old and were damaged in Hurricane Sandy. The project, which would double the number of trains per hour using the tunnels and help enable high-speed Amtrak service, is estimated to cost about $20 billion.

Sounds like a plan that needs to be gone over with the fine tooth comb. Liberals did this before and somehow the money was gone and the completed projects were hard to find.

Why should people in the rest of the country pay for tunnels in New Jersey? I don't care about their Amtrak service. If people there think that is a good idea, let them tax themselves and pay for it. With all the wealth on Wall Street they should be able to come up with 20 billion pretty easily.

The Democrats are playing with Trump and the GOP. They are calling his bluff, to see if the promises he made will be kept. Trump said he would do all this renovation and they have basically said "Ok, Mr Big Mouth, we think this is a great idea, now sell it to your party."

Ball is now in his court.

Exactly!

Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats rolled Obama early in his first term with a huge bill for "shovel ready" stimulus projects. After the thing was passed Obama found out later there isn't such a thing when it comes to infrastructure projects, but hey, the dems got their money.

Third Obama jobs bill blocked in Senate - Washington Times
Maybe if Trump put his name on the Obama Jobs bill they'll pass it. Change the name of ACA to Trumpcare and they will pass that too.

I actually agree with this if the money is spent efficiently (Trump must enforce efficient spending). Take all that money from what we give to terrorist countries to pay for this.

Lol.... liberals are so funny... reverse psychology only works on liberals... when you lose, you don't get to dictate terms... the infrastructure plan will be made by the GOP... and it will not include California rail... silly liberals... trick or treat is for Halloween...

This one better stipulate that if the money is not used for infrastructure, the Feds will take it out of future federal money to the states.
