Wrong generation, banjomike, just like the American mafia. Go back in the 1950's and the American mafia, drawn out of impoverished Italian/Sicilian-American communities would shake down Black-American criminals on the streets of Detroit to the streets of LA. All they had to do was tell those black hoodlums to break bread by X day of the month and they would. Likewise, the CIA then was drawn from a different white America than the one that exists today.
The FBI and ATF today draw a far tougher crowd of men into their ranks than the f--kin CIA today. And even the FBI is disproportionately drawing in more pencil neck geeks than at any other time. The ATF being the outlaws bunch of the Federal agencies, and doing a lot of undercover in biker outfits, probably attracts the most roughnecks out of the 3.
The CIA came recruiting at UW-Milwaukee. Sending a young white guy and young white lady to recruit. I was not impressed. They are of a suburban stock that has outsource their violence to the likes of Mexican LA gang members, Chicago 1% bikers, Middle Eastern terrorists and so forth.
Which brings me back to the modern American mafia in Detroit and LA or Chicago or black New York City. They are not shaking down young Black-American gang members--if they tried they might get shot in the face. In fact, they have ceded ground.
There is a story of old Italian mafia men in the City of LA 10 or so years back that helped some young (looked mixed race like a mulatto possibly) guy fix his book in some porn company he was laundering money through. After a while one thing led to another. Some of the old mafia men tried to take his company. So, he went into the black ghettos of LA, offered some black Crips some money and that same day a bunch of black Crips ran up into that business, roughed up the mafia dudes, and they handed the company back over to the young dude.
Italian and Sicilian-Americans no longer live in ghettos. They live good middl-class lives or upper-middle-class lives and few of their young men join the mafia ranks.
The CIA is kind of similar. As the CIA recruiters at UW-Milwaukee explained it most CIA agents operate as handlers. In other words, they operate like cops that hire or blackmail snitches into doing the informing and taking 99% of the risks. Most these CIA agents aren't cut from blue collar labor either. Most of them have soft, milk white skin, the men with soft hands of delicate skin. Because they are white collar people or from academia.
The CIA has its own commando outfit though. They are made up of former Marine Force Recon and former Navy SEAL's and former Army Special Forces and so on.
America can live in its fantasy about the CIA just as it did about Ronda Rousey and most Americans certain she could beat Floyd Mayweather in boxing, Mike Tyson, and and everyone on planet earth. But then you had foreign people like Amanda Nunes coming up hungry and spotting the "Hollywood" deception. And if I can see the Hollywood deception in the CIA, or the soft, round, short, obese women working as Sheriff deputies in Milwaukee, then be sure the hungry, hardscrabbled roughs in biting cold Russia, in Third World Latin American countries can see this too.
The CIA like the American mafia still holds power and sway because they have soooooo much money and so many connections. The American mafia can always hire some Latino gangster to kill some Latino guy in Texas they can't get to. Similar with the CIA in Latin America, Africa, or the Middle East, they can always find someone in those populations to kill another person in those populations.

Donald Trump is tougher than many in the CIA. In part because he had to be tough to succeed in the cutthroat business of New York City (which involves coming across New York City mafia men). In other words he has gained practical experience dealing and negotiating with men from worlds of violence and massive egos that the new young, white recruits from out of UW-Milwaukee and Yale and Harvard didn't get in their f---ing universities.
Just because you end up dead as a CIA agent does not mean you were James Bond. Plenty of people end up murdered all over the world everyday. Few of them were James Bond or Billy Bada$&.
It's also like the image of black gang members in the USA. There are black adult gang members that are more compassionate than me (or Obama for that matter). I have a good military vet friend that is a Vice Lord from out of Gary, Indiana. He has wept at the sight of a room full of young, white, meth addicts. Now, Obama would never weep nor would most the liberal feminists on this website.
And not all gang members can fight well either. But being part of a gang, like being part of the CIA or LAPD, can afford you protection because if I mess with one of them I have to mess with numerous members if not every member of their organization. Strength in numbers. So, even if I were James Bond (which I'm not) there are 100 of those m----- f------ I'd have to go through (be they Crips, Gambino mobsters, Chicago PD, FBI, or the CIA). Odds are I lose. By myself.

Well, yes that is pretty much the status quo from him.

Most organizations don't FORCE people to go to an event, and even if there is no "proof" that the CIA let those who really didn't want to go off the hook... it is very likely that trump's people quietly insisted to management that only supporters be there, because they couldn't risk having dead silence in response trump's remarks. Seriously, think about it.

So, trump is tougher than many in the CIA. OK, yeah, the CIA hires admin folks, who don't have to be tough. Saying that being a business person in NYC is makes his tougher than people who have to stay hidden because they are messing about in countries who are our enemies... is just... BS. It is about the same as trump's assertion that he was as brave as the military men and women in Vietnam because those vaginas he penetrated were unsafe.
Actually, I think any adult woman in the world is tougher than trump... because we have all spent our lives dealing with certain men (not ALL men, by any means, but, just like trump, dealing with certain men)... y'know, the ones whose world is violent, and who have massive egos. So, he really, truly, isn't any tougher than a woman.
One never knows when Trump's paid applauders are around.
