I've made several policy points about this phenomenon with regards to BLM getting traction on their issues. Hard to get reforms when much of the worst policing abuses occur in major urban metros that are typically about 75% democrat.
Take Chicago's attempted cover-up of the murder of Laquan Mcdonald?
Why have the protests fizzled out? Why has there been essentially zero fall-out over the cover-up?
Please notice, Chicago isn't going to go Republican I'm talking about black rights ability to get some social justice and change in a city that seems to be able to do what it wants and get away with it and then pull out the get out of racial injustice free card.
So, there you have it, no suggestion of voting for Republicans, just a question of how you get respect for your vote when it seems to be taken for granted.
