Not all Klan members are racists. They do good things including helping children and providing donations to good causes. Some are decent human beings like Senator Byrd
The problem is with radical KKK members which are very few.
this is a joke.... are we talking about the madmen in pokey hats with torches who burn down blacks home and now and then string up some poor black person just for fun..... so you mean there are goodies and baddies KKK members.. wonder why that is... so can you tell me what the goodies do..aw they give to charites.. Im reading... how sweet.. is that to cover their consciences.

Be impossible to tell the goodies from the baddies as they all wear identical hoods over their heads. I guess the only solution would be to shoot them all and let God sort them out.
A faction of the Christian-terrorist group the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), will now open its membership to Jews, African Americans, Hispanics and gay people.
The funny thing is its actually true. The KKK was little different than the Confederacy underground. The KKK was never a monolithic group. Some of them were for non violence and just wanted to end what they saw as degeneracy. Some people could not believe the Klan was doing any such things. Surely many who were of the Klan were not.
Perhaps the closest the U. S. government has come to seriously and systematically punishing respectable white men for violence against black men was almost 150 years ago, in response to the post-Civil War Ku-Klux Klan. From 1868 through 1872, Klan groups committed thousands of assaults, hundreds of murders, numerous rapes, and substantial theft of black property.
So the KKK was responsible for thousands of assaults and hundreds of murders? What percentage of the KKK would this represent when it was all over the South?
By 1870, the Ku Klux Klan had branches in nearly every southern state. Even at its height, the Klan did not boast a well-organized structure or clear leadership. Local Klan members–often wearing masks and dressed in the organization’s signature long white robes and hoods–usually carried out their attacks at night, acting on their own but in support of the common goals of defeating Radical Reconstruction and restoring white supremacy in the South. Klan activity flourished particularly in the regions of the South where blacks were a minority or a small majority of the population, and was relatively limited in others. Among the most notorious zones of Klan activity was South Carolina, where in January 1871 500 masked men attacked the Union county jail and lynched eight black prisoners.

What a super duper idea mohawkx... wish someone would have did that years ago. at least in old western movies we knew who the baddies were , they always wore black..

If someone wants to start a white support group separate from the violence, hate, and intollerance that's symonymous with the KKK, they're free to do that. It might not go over well, and people can debate the prejudice, racism, or whatever of that - but to join a group as well known as the KKK and then claim you don't support the violence they've inflicted is just stupid.
The foundation for the KKK is hate, racism, oppression and violence. So, yes, all of these cowardly rednecks are bad.
