Yeah, I wonder if the original poster and her kind are going to befriend some of them. You know, help them out, give them a free meal, be delighted if slaughters went out with the males, will be delighted to live in a town infested with them, or send their kids to school with their kids.
Trump's inaugural was only a few weeks ago, he already violated his own oath and insulted US constitution through orders of discriminations based on religion and nationality.
As if we didn't do that on a regular basis before 1965 regardless of that constitution which wasn't even written with others in mind.
Explain how I am on the wrong side of history. I wasn't alive during WWII, and I am British anyway. History is happening right now, we are seeing the rise of Fascism and you can choose whether to support or oppose it. I choose to oppose.

For every fascist link you people make, I'd like to point out the same links can be made from socialism to communism. By your logic, most of Europe is damn close to being a North Korea style communist state.

Nevermind the fact that I am also British, I still am in a position as a citizen of Finland to criticise the U.S., the country that turned away many Jewish refugees fleeing the Nazis whereas Finland did not hand over any of its own Jews and accepted hundreds of Jewish refugees.
America is showing many of the early signs of Fascism, it is very worrying to the rest of the world, we can only hope that more people will wise up and learn from history that this is not the way to go. Besides the fact that the immigration/travel ban is only going to put more U.S. lives at risk because it will cause more anger and hatred.
The ban is temporary. Why do we keep having to say this?

I was at SFO protesting tonight with thousands of other people out to voice our anger at the president's ban. There were people unsure about the status of their loved ones. I came because I felt obligated as the child of 2 immigrants and the parent of 2 adopted children that were born overseas. I owe it to my family and to my friends whose faith is being singled out by a ruthless, divisive govt.
We were in the long international arrivals hall and we cheered passengers as the left the big security doors and into the public area.
As a result, I had the opportunity to speak with some people arriving on flights from all over the world and whenever able I asked the following question:
"What do people in the part of the world you just arrived from think about President Trump and the United States since he took office?
A common theme in the responses quickly emerged: Our image is being tarnished very quickly. They are losing respect for the United States specifically because of Donald Trump. We are a laughing stock in much of the world except it's not funny.
Imagine that, such a great and noble nation toppled by a clownish buffoon.
I kept thinking about this...

I understand the preamble. However, off subject here, encouraging words for the masses, but in reality it was always about---cheap labor---nothing more.
