Great idea. Make the mayor and other city and state leaders liable for damage done by illegal criminals protected by illegal sanctuary cities.

And it will promptly lose in court.

So "Politician wants to waste money and time".

Simply have a court hearing to enforce it, and hold them in contempt. We have laws for all of this already. The only reason to not go that route is if you think your laws won't get through court. This is just pandering nonsense.
