Well here we go, eliminating environmental rules and loosening gun regulations, I guess our streams were too clean and gun laws were overly restrictive.

WASHINGTON – The Republican-controlled Congress on Thursday scrapped Obama-era rules on the environment and guns, counting on a new ally in the White House to help reverse years of what the GOP calls excessive regulation.
The Senate gave final approval to a measure eliminating a rule to prevent coal mining debris from being dumped into nearby streams, while the House backed a separate resolution doing away with extended background checks for gun purchases by some Social Security recipients with mental disabilities.
The Senate's 54-45 vote sends the repeal of the stream protection rule to President Donald Trump, who is expected to sign it. The gun measure awaits Senate action.

Mining is a States resources and usually goes with the mineral rights of the person that owns the property. So, he gave them back their liberty.... Big deal. Nothing keeps the State from regulating it.
Only individual persons themselves have the liberty to regulate their own firearms. The federal government cannot infringe, or have an opinion about it that matters one way or the other.
This law just went into effect, it's one of those last minute Obama regulations.
There are already numerous Federal and state regulations over this. It's best handled by the states instead of an over reaching one size fits all regulation.

2nd & 10th Amendment restoration.
Are you friggin kidding me! I thought I'd never live long enough to see this day. I'm tearing up...

one concern is the removal of the requirement to inform the federal government when a corporation in the mining or drilling industry pays a foreign government. This was brought it to ensure no payoffs to corrupt governments and more importantly to ensure no funny business with swaps and under the counter purchases ... with sanctioned nations etc.... hell if they don't have to report it , the gov has to find it....

Well if dumping into streams is already addressed that's fine, just seems like it should be a national policy. Streams do cross over state borders as we have seen in the case in Oklahoma Arkansas relative to poultry pollution,
Logically it was stupid when the Obama administration implemented it?
Obama had no choice. Republicans in congress blocked him like a wall (pun intended).
Trump is the first president in decades to benefit from majority in both congress and senate. Neither George W, nor Clinton or Reagan had this luxury. It probably won't be there for Donald as well in 2 years.
However, only after I wrote the post I got how wrong it is: if congress does it, they get all the glory! What will be left for Donald?
