What is your solution to make things fair then? Any solution I can think of where one (or both) parent(s) eschews responsibility puts the fincial responsibility on tax payers in some fashion.

Antonio Cromartie Pays $336,000 a Year in Child Support
LOL.
The Jets cornerback will have 12 children to support, including the twins who wife Terricka Cason announced last week are on the way.
Besides the two children he already has with Terricka, Cromartie, 31, has eight kids with seven other women across the country. He pays each about $3,500 a month in child support — an estimated $336,000 a year.
Cromartie seduced, impregnated and dumped a string of women across the country, from his high school sweetheart in Tallahassee, Fla., to a corporate lawyer and former Miss Black North Carolina.

The average yearly child support payment is $6,526.00.
How many women lie about BC?
Again that doesn't matter. Protect yourself. Need to using a condom anyway to prevent STDs.

How is addressing the premise of the law, one parent forcing their will upon the other, not staying on topic?

Its relevant to men opting out of child support which is what you are suggesting to make it fair because women can abort.

If a woman chooses to continue a pregnancy that results in a child the father didn't want, that's on her. No child support. No public assistance.

Because one is about making blocking a persons medical decisions and one is about paying child support.

Why no assistance. Punishment again.
Would you disallow assistance if the father wanted it?
You think food stamps and other assistance for the poor should be determined by if the man that is screwing her allows it.

So there you go. Start writing your state representatives. Push the legislation through to help the minuscule amount of men who were tricked into pregnancy and forced to pay child support and stop trying to punish women. And while your at it write some legislation to punish those men if they ever try to contact or inquire about that child they didnt want.

Okay. How do you prove he didn't want it? Only thing I can think of is a contract before sex. But I have to wonder if men are not choosing to take 5 seconds to put on a condom then they aren't going to take the time to go get a contact signed and notarized.

What if he says he wants the child and then changes his mind? Is there a cut off date? Or what if he says he wants it and finds out it's not his? Can he get out of the contract and what about the real father, since he didn't say beforehand that he didn't want a child is he now liable?

Or what if he says he didn't want the child and changes his mind later and does? Does he get his parental rights back?
