People know that transgender individuals can't reproduce, but short of that, I think a psychiatrist is a lot more qualified to make that call than who ever the hell OnlyCurious is. Try learning about Gender Identity Disorder before you say these individuals should "suck it up" and "play the cards they're dealt". In a lot of cases, a person with G.I.D. who tries to live a closeted life in their birth sex ends up clinically depressed and it usually leads to suicide.
I think it's odd that so many Trump supporters seemed more concerned about the transgendered bathroom issue than the investigation into the most heinous attack on our democracy in the history of the US.

Actually, they can reproduce. They're still physically their birth gender. You're thinking of transsexuals, who have actually surgically altered their gender.

I know what GID is. You CANNOT change your sex that is a biological fact. You can change your gender. Doctors can and do explain this to many of their clients. Understanding this doesn't mean you cannot identify as a different gender, it means you will be reasonable when dealing with others and the fact that you cannot be the biological identical to a man or woman. This isn't about not having sympathy.

At this point, this is what's being forced: Allowing anatomical males to use girls' school gym multiple occupancy open locker/shower rooms and play on girls' sports teams despite their clear physical advantage (and much more rarely, vice versa) is forced on every public school child grades pre-K through 12 no actual proof required, this is all just based on what a student says they "feel" their gender is. And the requirement also applies to public colleges and universities. Schools that refuse to allow that lose federal funding.
