The Democrats are completely unhinged. They are claiming that we will return to segregation, jim crow, whites only restaurants and bathrooms, etc if he becomes AG.

I wonder if part of them becoming "unhinged" had to do with being told that they cannot negatively criticize him on the Senate floor... despite the Senate floor being used to discuss reasons for/against his confirmation. If that rule is applicable to Sessions' hearing, perhaps a current Senator should not be permitted to accept a nomination such as AG.

You can discuss the pros, and cons of a nominee, you cannot launch into a character assassination of a Senator.

That rule is to prevent the floor of the senate from degrading into a grade school playground.

At the time, Warren was reading a document that had already been read, documented, and filed in congressional records. In regards to Sessions. Negative criticism and negative critique of his track record in any way can be seen as "character assassination" depending upon a person's bias.

She was doing this as an attack on Senator Secession's character.

The rule is to stop this kind of childish grandstanding.

If the democrats had any integrity, they would call for Warren to step down for such a disrespectful act against a US senator, and the King family.

It can be argued that it was an attack on his record. And considering that Coretta's daughter thanked Senator Warren, I doubt she sees Warren's actions as disrespectful.

If someone were to read his public statements and personally-submitted court documents from 1996 where he fought to try and stop the Southeastern Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual College Conference from being held at a University? Would that also be an attack on his character? Or would it be an attack on his record?

Again, one's own personal biases have a profound effect on how we read the intent of others.

Well, Warren violated the rules, and her attack on Secessions' character was stopped.

This wasn't my opinion, but the opinion of these in the senate.

Been noticed. It's too funny.

Now, here they come to try to say they aren't...
