Elizabeth Warren was a Republican! People change, society changes, and even party platforms change. The labels mean little. Most of the South was Democrat at one time.

Warren is proof that a squaw can change her feathers.

Both parties have become more polarized. The Dems have adopted the Cultural Left, and the Republicans have pandered to the ethno nationalists. All within the span of 5 years.

If the Bill Clinton of the 90's was placed in 2017, would he be a Democrat or a Republican?
Great point, no way could Bill Clinton win the Dem nomination today if he stated as his goals a balanced budget, reduced government, NAFTA, reduced welfare.....Trump is a left wing extremist in comparison to 1990s Bill Clinton.

In other words, they are both pretty good.

Where are today's moderates? I would be delighted to vote for one.

Bill Clinton was/is a moderate left liberal...Hilary is a far left liberal

Bill Clinton understood to move the country left he needed to work with the republicans/conservatives , something Obama never could understand

even both bushes were quite liberal in many of their stances

Trump is not a conservative...he is a moderate outsider with some conservative stances and some liberal stances

so to answer the question..Bill Clinton would always be a democrat...the thing is he was a democrat that was willing to work with the republicans...unlike many of the current lot of liberals like far lefty Pelosi, an warren, or even Hillary

He didn't spend enough to qualify. I hate the progressive right as much as I hate the progressive left.

btw He didn't have a balanced budget. Not saying you are saying he did.
