Word is Arabs are all "Semites" as well as many are Muslim. Cray-cray world in 2017.
Sunni Arabs are considered Semites and Hebrew, as they supposedly descend from Ishmael: son of Abraham.
The Bible aside, "Semitic" refers to a language category. Being that modern Hebrew is reconstructed from the Arab language, it would be pretty silly, or maybe just unrepentantly political, to exclude Arab speakers from the category of "Semitic" while including the speakers of the reconstructed language derived from Arabic.
In a practical sense, in other words in terms of how "Semitic" is applied by the arbiters of the term (Jewish people), I would venture that the Biblical direction on the matter is how the term is applied.
The DNC needs to disavow this. If they don't it means they don't want to upset their KKK supporters.

When Trump was first told of Duke's support, I honestly don't think the NY businessman had any clue who he was. With Trump, anyone who compliments him gets one in return, just as anyone who says something negative gets a punch in return. Anyway, he probably had no clue who Duke was.
But that didn't keep liberals and the MSM from trying to make Trump seem racist by not immediately denouncing him.
