Understanding How States Access the ACA Enhanced Medicaid Match Rates | The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation

Federal Medical Assistance Percentage (FMAP) for Medicaid and Multiplier | The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation

California might have to raise another $10 billion dollars if it plans to keep the Medicaid Expansion.

5 million more newly insured according to the report at a cost of $20 billion which is about $4,000 per person each year.

I calculated it because the current plan is 100% federal reimbursement and the Republican plan is traditional match rate which is 50%

I think they should keep the ACA expansion on the books but with a 50/50 state match. States should recieve federal help but not the 95%-100% that has been paid for by debt. The Republicans would have a traditional match of 50% of California
