Spending like a drunken sailor. This is going to be one expensive presidency.

Trump family trips cost taxpayers $11.3m in one month – almost as much as Obama’s cost in a year

Trump family trips cost taxpayers $11.3m in one month

Donald Trump’s family’s trips have cost taxpayers nearly as much in a month as Barack Obama’s cost in an entire year.

The US President’s three visits to his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida since his presidential inauguration, combined with his sons’ business trips, reportedly cost $11.3m (£9.1m).

Conservative watchdog Judicial Watch estimated Mr Obama’s travel expenses totalled an average $12.1m in each of his eight years in the White House.

Obama sure cost us a lot of money - we should still all be mad about that, right?

Trump sure looks like he knows how to cost control...

Trump worshippers here don't care. They'd give Dear Leader their first born child, before they dare criticize him.

The same Trump worshippers that attacked Obama for a $4M family vacation will quickly rush to excuse the hundreds of millions that Trump is costing us.

So, is this what it finally takes to get any decent liberal support for holding the government accountable on spending?

When have republicans ever given a damn about spending when they were holding office? Two unpaid for wars ring a bell? And to make matters worse...tax cuts for the rich which was unprecedented during times of war, let alone two.

Obama's cost never bothered me all that much (although, like anyone, I would have been totally happy if they had been less).

It's more that we're pointing out the blatant hypocrisy by those that were upset about Obama not being upset about Trump (who looks to be outpacing Obama by quite a bit, and will probably continue to do so).

This is a rather obvious point, though, so I wonder why you had to ask about it at all.

Chump change when you consider that we borrowed $10 Trillion dollars..... let me repeat that....$10 Trillion dollars in Obama's 8 years in charge.

You tell me, since you are the expert on liberalism.

Most people would think spending 11 million in a month or worse than spending less that 1 million in a month.
