Last month, liberal outlets like The Huffington Post and Raw Story eagerly pounced on the story, holding up Virginia waitress Kelly Carter as the perfect example of Racist White America. Carter, a black woman, claimed she received no tip and a racist note on a receipt from a customer she waited on, which read, "Great service, don’t tip black people." The waitress received attention from national publications, the NAACP and the VA attorney general and raked in thousands of dollars in donations. Turns out, the whole thing could be yet another "hate" hoax. The lawyer of the "racist" customer is accusing Carter of fabricating the note, and closer examination of the receipt seems to back up his claim.
...What a surprise. Really sad so many got suckered into donating money.
The fake hate hoax is a good gig if you can profit from it as this woman has. It doesn't really matter because foolish people will be deprived of their money by any manner of hucksters.

This is no different than the fake homeless guy standing in the median with a sign begging for money.
