Was it childish when the original suffragettes wore white? What about when people wear pink ribbons to show support for breast cancer research? Is that childish? Is it childish to wear black to show you are in mourning?

I see no benefit in trying to demean people showing support for each other through their apparel.

bull pucky

the first line from your linked story

Female Democratic lawmakers staged a quiet protest during President Trump’s first speech to Congress on Tuesday night

This was about saying "hey Trump hates women" which is a lie. and utter and complete fabrication and is morally reprehensible. but democrats make high art of being morally reprehensible. so I suppose it was typical

Without them, women wouldn't have the vote and we'd have no women in Congress.

It was reminder that working together can change things.

Why anyone cares what they wore is a mystery.

Though I do think Trump's giant ties are ridiculous and wonder if perhaps there is some overcompensation going on.

Oh, if only Robin Williams were still with us.

The suffragettes were REPUBLICAN women.

You mean the ones that were sewn because of a comment Trump made himself?

From what I heard by the talking heads prior to Trumps speech, these ladies were wearing white as a nod towards the Suffrage Movement and an expression of concern about womens' rights being taken backwards. The only problem I saw with the whole thing is that............when a president speaks so eloquently of unison, bringing the country together, and putting all Americans first, the "quiet demonstration" made these ladies look out of touch.

Yes yes.......grab 'em by the pu**y and all that - he's a cad - Clinton was a cad - Kennedy was a cad - but the speech was big. Their protest was small. They were protesting what?? What he "might" do? What he "might" say? Actions he "might" take? I don't think so. They're protesting because their base demands protest. They're protesting because Trump as president should be an unthinkable reality but instead it's an actual reality. They're protesting because Trump is making claim to so many issues that are typically Democrat issues. They're protesting because if Trump actually achieves anything he has promised to achieve, Democrats will slide further into the abyss.

There's a reason that the approval rate of the Democrat party is lower than the approval rate of the president of the United States.

Hillary not in the WH.

After telling everyone Hillary would be the first female POTUS, and making such a scene over that prediction, now the embarrassment has them lashing out in anger.

It's like softball guy calling his shot over the left fence and striking out. Is there any chance he's not going to return to the dugout throwing his bat, cursing and acting like a child?

well in all honest, The Donald and his republican allies have taken more than 1000 congressional seats across the country. a dozen or so governorships... there are now only 5 states where dems control both houses of their legislatures as well as the governorship.

Plus they came within an election of having a generational lurch to the left in the Supreme Court..

so when you think about it, THESE WOMEN have lost a lot. But it has nothing to do with being women... it does have everything to do with being a wild eyed leftist. LOL. but the left cant just talk politics. They have to identify some group then try to scare those people to death.

Since everyone is so concerned about what women wore to last night's speech, did anyone see the low-cut, sequined dress that Mrs. Trump had on. Yowza! No Pat Nixon there.

Ivanka Trump's bra strap was showing. What was that about?
