We still have not attacked the real problem. And that is the costs that go into healthcare. There are so many for profit pieces that make up HC and all of them from drugs, equipment makers, even the hospitals are just ripping us off. Who cares what the bill is after a hospital stay when insurance is paying the bill? That is where everything goes off kilter. We the people need to focus on the causes of high heath care and fix that, then maybe more and more people can buy insurance and increase the pool of members. But the reality is healthcare is skyrocketing not just in how much you pay per month but also the deductibles. The deductibles alone will break most families. Most democrats and even some independents believe the only plan that is ever going to work in America is what many European countries have now, a single payor system. We actually have the base for that now in the US with Medicare. We need to remove the middle layer which are the insurance companies that do nothing more than suck money from the people. We must put caps on what doctors, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies can charge. The days where doctors have 2nd homes, yachts and expensive fleet of cars is gone. The pharmaceutical companies can no longer be in bed with the FDA and get approval for drugs that do very little to improve the quality of life of Americans. We are poisoning our citizens as all doctors know how to do is write prescriptions and never look at holistic ways of curing what ails their patients. Sad that America is number 1 in so many ways but 37th in the world when it comes to providing health care for its people
