Claire McCaskill lied today about her past interactions with the Russian ambassador.
Quote:
In a pointed tweet Thursday,*Democratic Missouri Senator*Claire McCaskill attacked Attorney General and her former Senate colleague*Jeff Sessions for meeting with the Russian ambassador during the 2016 election, saying she would*never meet or call the Russian ambassador.
There’s, uh, just one problem with that claim. Well, two problems really.
She's calling on Sessions to resign because she claimed he "lied to the American people." Which is debatable. The context of the question suggests he was answering whether he had any communications as part of the Trump campaign.
But we know for sure that Claire McCaskill lied. I look forward to her resignation.
Only in right-wing alternate universe would tweets be equivalent to Senate confirmation hearings. Not surprised...that's where Trump supporters think the real news comes from: Trump's tweets and Ted Nugent's Facebook rants!
I'm doubtful that Claire McCaskill will be able to hold her seat in 2018.
True. But if she is not a hypocrite, she should resign now.

I don't believe he lied given the context of the question. There is no doubt she lied. She said she had never met with him Ever. Full stop. Her words. And she lied.
Was she under oath? Because Sessions was when he lied.
more leftist hysteria. Sessions didn't lie about anything. His answer clearly was in response to a question trying to link the Trump campaign to meeting with Russian officials. While Sessions was a Trump campaign surrogate, any meetings he had with Russian officials were not in such a capacity, but rather in his capacity as a US senator.
