Absolutely. Ever since the first caveman hit another caveman in the head with a rock, people have been at war with each other. There has never been a time in human history when someone was not at war with someone else.
Not to be naive, but can you just imagine what this world could be like if everyone got along ? All the money that goes for bombs and armies could be diverted to actually cure disease, feed people, and let us all live a better life. But it is never going to happen, humans have some gene missing that let's us tolerate one another and not want to wipe out our own kind.
i disagree, everyone wants world peace, but we want it on our terms. for instance, the islamic world wants a government rooted in sharia law. the chinese want no religion for the most part, and they want a strong government and weak people. the problem is that all these ideologies contradict themselves, and that is where the problems come from.
we also have the problem where some humans want something more than others have. they follow the golden rule, he who has the gold makes the rules. and as these people gain more power, they come in conflict with each other, so they gather their supporters, and fight with each other. we see that happening today, trump now has the power, the democrats want that power, and to that end each side is fighting the other to regain or maintain that power.
when it is just human to human, we can get along, but when humans form groups of humans, that is when the problems start to occur.
You've gotta be kidding. If that were true, there would be no divorces, assaults, or homicides.
The biggest impediment to world peace is men. You want world peace? Just have men step aside and let women take charge. Once women rule the world we will have no need for warships, nukes, guns, hostilities, corruption, saber rattling, class divide, great wealth inequality etc. etc. etc.
I once read, and I believe it, that without wars, mankind would turn neurotic! Or more neurotic than they are already! So, in essence, wars are a necessity!
As Will Durant once stated: Man has an equal desire to build and to destroy!
No one answered, if it is people of the world that want peace?
