This White House is trying to cover up a naked elephant with a roll of toilet paper.

What a joke. People that voted for this clown were decieved.

People still supporting him are deranged.

Truth. Hurts.

Trump gave a foreign agent access to our nation's secrets.

We're not talking emails with a (c) buried in the text. We're talking Trump gave Flynn access to our national security information.

Though Trump and Pence were both warned about Flynn, they didn't even bother to vet him before arranging for him to sit in on national security briefings, read national security reports...

Yates warned Trump that the Russians knew Flynn was not telling the truth which opened him to blackmail, plus there was other "problematic behaviors" of concern. Yet Trump allowed Flynn access to national security information for 18 more days.

Finally, when the story came out in the Washington Post, Trump fired Flynn.

Trump also fired Sally Yates, Preet Bharara, and James Comey over this Russian business.

Republicans are still backing this traitors' play. But you got to wonder if it's a winning hand.

For sure crazy. Unsurprisingly the natural consequence of having a 'crazymaking' President. Hopefully we can resist the crazy & not let it turn into a contagion.

I remain hopeful about the last.

Reading some of these posts from the left gives on a feeling of dejavu --The talking points have a sense of déjà vu about them—the same points already hashed over repeatedly by liberal networks.

It makes me wonder -- why read liberal posts? There's no real discussion, just repeat of what they heard elsewhere, as though it were truth and nothing but the truth and the only truth.

Where's the discussion and exchange of ideas, thoughts, opinions?

The crazies are people like Schumer and Pelosi -- they disliked him before they liked him (insert any name, current 'issue' person). They conveniently forget what they have said in the past and join a new mantra that is useful to them for the present.

Nice try.

Why did Nuñes go to such efforts to confirm "incidental surveillance."

What he hoped to accomplish remains a mystery. Surely, he didn't sacrifice his reputation and chair of the House investigation to let everyone know that team Trump was appearing in criminal and espionage investigations.

Delaying Yates' testimony a week or two? What difference would that make?

So we are stuck wondering what the hell Nuñes was trying to accomplish.

What did he find out that is so damning they he was willing to go to such lengths to distract?

That's the answer that will unstick this thread.

Fact is the President and his team has been caught red handed . Obama was briefing Candidate HRC during the election and as posted the Demarcates were taking no chances to win. However they got caught and lost.

Hey there GHQAIC, personally 'unsticking this or any other thread' is just as lame as So-called President's various attempts (from day 1) to obstruct investigative activity & justice for the American people. All while violating the Presidential Oath.

One of the reasons why I think it's lame & impotent is because even if he was successful in obstruction of the US investigations, there is little he can do to obstruct international investigative activity.

Besides, even here in the US, the Treasury Department's financial crime unit alone has been conducting investigations since at least 2015 & perhaps earlier. FinCEN's activities & interest were & are overlapping with those of the international investigative community, when appropriate, they share information, a valuable resource in these matters.

The international & cooperative investigative activities which resulted in substantiated allegations of involvement in large Russian money laundering schemes filed against Deutsche Bank alone was a long term operation. Mr. Trump & his family's decades long (sometimes rocky) relationship with Deutsche Bank made him a 'person of interest'. He can whine all he wants but those are a done deal. He can fire even more folks here in the US but he can't pull those kindsof stunts on the international scene.

As an aside, Deutsche Bank plead guilty & was fined for their part in the recent global financial & systemic crisis through the buying & selling of toxic mortgage products. (Surprising to me personally that they admitted wrongdoing & actually apologized -- so unlike our own American financial institutions -- who continue to this day to expect praise, admiration & bonuses for their part in the continuation of the casino-like environment.)

& speaking of casinos, in general, money laundering schemes often seek out cash businesses - better to hide or launder money. Another reason why Mr. Trump could be considered a 'person of interest'. That & real estate property which has turned into a preferred avenue for laundering Russian money in particular. He's one of the 'usual suspects' in the Russian Old Boy network. He knows the drill, he's been there before, dishonest for him to pretend otherwise. Or blame President Obama! Sheeesh, who does this guy think he's fooling?
