Trump won as a populist. Rand Pauls plan would also leave a lot of lower income people uninsured and is full of holes. Hard conservatives like it but that is not how Trump ran and he knows it and the conservatives know it. They want to throw the people who elected Trump under the bus with no shame.
You mean Trump is throwing the people that voted for him under the bus. He is the one that just today said that this plan is a "great plan".

The Republicans had 6 plus years to come up with their alternative health plan - where is it? Did they think that they would never win an election so all they did was talk about a plan and never come up with one?
