The POTUS and his family are in deep stuff. The lies and fake news are starting to come on strong.
The POTUS using twitter to push his fake news stories are a tell tale sign. The misinterpretation of news is another way to create fake news. The followers are grasping at straws.

Obama spied on the Trump campaign because he could and because he wanted to.
And why not?
The polls showed Hillary with a double-digit lead, so there was no chance any of them could face consequences for their actions.
The Clinton camp wanted to get something incriminating, perhaps related to his foreign businesses and interaction with individuals from those nations, to counter Hillary's many scandals and the perception that she was untrustworthy.
The information gathered from the spying would be leaked by friends of Obama and Hillary and any inquiries as to the source would obviously lead nowhere.
Then the unthinkable happened.
At the last possible moment, Trump surged in the polls and pulled out a razor thin victory.
Now facing the very real possibility that a Trump attorney general would prosecute those involved in the illegal spying, panic set in.
Obama knew that he had to destroy Trump's credibility if his friends were going to be able to help cover this up.
Trump had to be made into such a bad guy that it didn't matter what was done to expose him (like spying during a campaign).
That's a tall order.
So the Trump-Russia conspiracy became the way out for some very desperate and very guilty political criminals of a sort even worse than Nixon.
The last minute Obama executive order allowing various government entities to share intelligence assured that anything discovered during the spying would be distributed throughout numerous agencies and leaked by hold-over Obama loyalists.
This massive dispersal also made tracing leaks back to the source almost impossible for an investigator.
So today the story line is that Obama's friends were just trying to preserve the evidence and prevent a Trump cover-up.
Well, perhaps they should mention that at their sentencing.

If Obama had actually wiretapped Trump to get evidence for Democrats to use against him, why didn't they use it?

You really need to stop reading these blogs like the like the Conservative Tree House, they damage the mind.
Her idea of preserving information is to leak it to press. Nunes and Intelligence agencies should release this information to press and everyone instead of keeping it secret.
Good -- they preserved criminal evidence. So much has come to light about Trump and his inner circle's dealing with Russia that even if the Obama administration was spying on Trump, it would be appropriate because they certainly had probable cause.
