That is a highly imaginative interpretation. I don't think it is the case.

Modern corporations make a pitch to a market, they have markets all over the world. They want to seem relevant to the customers with cash to spend.

Contrary to some peoples beliefs, corporations are not people, they have no emotions and no sense of justice or morality. They have accounting principles and a responsibility to their stakeholders to bring revenue in exceeding costs.

I wouldn't read anything into it more than that. It is a marketing theme and nothing more.
If you don't believe that corporations are watching how politics are influencing their business than you are being naive.

And yes it is in the best interest of the corporation to spend money to influence public opinion regarding the politics effecting them.

This is exactly what we see corporations doing.

Yes, but this is not the case with this ad (since pulled). It is an attempt to ingratiated themselves with a market to sell product.

Corporations exert their influence through political donations and paying for the services of the many lobbying firms.

I am reminded of the scandalous Enron corporation. They paid no federal income taxes at all, but had weekly access to the president at the time.

Money is power and that is how a large corporation exercises it. Not some stupid commercial.

The left is just outraged a Muslim woman was "portrayed "

Pepsi's Portrayal Of A Muslim Woman Was As Tone-Deaf As The Rest Of The Ad | The Huffington Post

The Muslim woman was a photographer , not really something viewed as a negative .

A headscarf is not a prop !

Kudos to Pepsi for uniting Americans across the political spectrum in derisive brand-destroying laughter.

Pepsi pulled the video. And my post was pulled too . My post was similar to King's daughter's comment.

Looks like the music video commercial that I have been seeing since the Coke I can teach the world to sing ads of the early 70s. Only the new generation of models are different. Now how do you cut it down to 30 or 15 seconds with the Pepsi product placement intact is a question
