Problem is, they weren't furtive enough. And I wasn't the only poster that picked up on it.

That aside, you're pretty much spot on with the rest of your post.
There's nothing to be perplexed about. Getting into all 8 ivys assuming you applied to them all generally requires some sort of massive *hook*. Being black helps a lot, nothing racist about it just reality. Heck, a poor white kid from Hogsweat, Arkansas has a huge edge as well as they give diversity points for things other than race. Asian is a negative in terms of diversity points.

All of these of course are modest considerations to the big picture of their application. I guarantee you that the kid that got accepted to all 8 ivies has massive SAT scores and is quite brilliant. But for these admissions a 5% consideration to things like racial, geographic and economic diversity can make or break.

Sure, some bigots might like to cry and complain thinking this kid has 75th percentile scores and are getting in "just because they're black" but it's a crock of crap and they're ignorant.

The internet is full of ugly trolls. If the person is black or asian or female or male or white or whatever.....the trolls are going to pick something and run with it.

I for one don't feel like trying to define America or entire groups of people based upon ugly anonymous trollspeak from the internet.

What evidence is there for this claim?

You just made that figure up, right?

Colorful... but the fact remains that many, if not most, black kids attending highly selective colleges would not have been admitted if they were Asian or white.

For starters, I have a friend that is an ivy recruiter.

Do you even know what they look for? Or why? Seriously doubt it.
