Poor guy, this is messed up:

Jailhouse video shows deputies laughing as prisoner dies | Daily Mail Online

I’m surprised it happened in CA.

We have become a nation that has a large population of sociopaths. The humanity of the USA has been severely diminished.

So very disturbing....

indicates how ignorant law enforcement is regarding the mentally ill. I realize they get some very strange and aggressive and combative people in jail...but they knew his history.

Mentally ill or not though, horrendous treatment of a human being.

I'd like to offer than pulmonary emboli can occur after long periods of inactivity....legs were inactive due to being tied down...throw a clot from leg to lungs....causing death. Natural cause...?

Imagine watching your family member on that video.

Did anyone get fired??? Probably not...

LE needs further training on treatment of mentally ill...like most of the population.

The masses tend to expect those with serious mental illness to just snap out of it. The Schitophrenia Spectrum has no known cause and is not curable. Males are substantially more likely to be diagnosed with Schitophrenial than females. Average onset of symptoms is age 18, meaning half display symptioms earlier often times with the onset of puberty.

Symptoms can be treated with medication. No one can be forced to take medication unless court- ordered to do so. Even then...

Families often times cannot manage a family member with Schitzophrenia. Other times those with serious mental illness resist their families and decline medication.

The officer who laughed while watching the prisoner has the sensitivity of a rat.

" Have become" ?

I don't know about that.

Internet and social media have made us all more aware of seriously mentally ill people and has given all unlimited access to information.

Want to trick out your gun like Adam Lanza? Easy enough to find.

Want to find likeminded people who idolize mass shooters. They are online.

I confused this with still another Carlos Danger story.

Natural mistake.

Only cops and other State agents should have guns. Their decision-making and compassion are beyond reproach.
