We've had video's before but still a lot of defenders. Not so much this time. People asked what good the marches and protests did. Well, as we see they did accomplish something. Seems nowhere near as many are willing to blindly defend all police action any longer and police forces are starting to understand they can't simply sweep things like this under the rug any longer.

That is changing in many places, and professional cops should welcome it. Obviously sadistic bullies hate it.

Cops here in Suffolk County New York are mortally opposed to any video of them ever being taken, again for obvious reasons. They will threaten you with arrest if they even see a phone out during a stop or if you are third partying an incident.

These cops are Nazis. Just like the anti Trump protestors at Berkely. There you are.

Factually speaking, the Nazi's at the rally were pro-Trump. And there were quite a few.

Involuntary foot stomping. It's a common condition in police work.

Sad thing is if this wasn't caught on passerby camera the police officer would of been taken at his word.

That is a powerful thing and in some jurisdictions it is illegal to record the police. Think about that.

I know the police have a crap job, they aren't paid well and they have the issue of recruiting just below the bar for federal / state / other departments poaching their trained guys and hiring any Joe Blow that needs a badge to cover his tiny wiener. Not an easy position to be in.

They deal with the crap that society has left festering in the streets that no one else would want to deal with. It isn't an easy job and this stuff can wear you down. Arresting the same piece of crap 20 times and dealing with the abuse. Hey I understand man, it sucks.

Can't do this though. You can be right a million times over 20 years and you screw up once like this and that is it.

You can say it isn't fair, you can say that it was just a momentary lapse and if you had said that from the start you might still have a job. Instead you hid behind your badge, abused the trust the public gives you and leveraged the huge benefit of the doubt nearly every single law enforcement officer is granted. You lied, tried to cover up and got caught. I bet if we go through your history we'd find other times this happened as well, you just weren't red light at the time. Something every single police officer needs to know is that from this point forward, the red light is always on so behave yourself.

This is also why every officer should have a body camera on at all times and any attempt to turn it off during interaction with the public should be treated harshly. Everyone behaves better when they are being recorded.

No it isn't. They only claim it is.
