For an adult woman with life experience, maturity, and human decency, the attraction to a boy should stop right there.

I've never found boys, (yuck) younger men, married men, or old men (15+ older than me) attractive, but I understand some women have .. well, a different taste. However, I believe humans have the ability to at least control their behaviors.

My nephews and my godson are six years old. I hope they make better life choices in the future. One mistake can easily ruin your life. My family will do our best to protect them from sexual predators, women or men.

You people are part of the problem! You are encouraging this type of behavior. Would you be saying the same if a 40yr old male teacher was having relations with a 17yr old female student?

No we would not. In many cases, 17 year-old men get charged with rape because they slept with their girlfriends who happened to be 16. Doesn't matter if the sex was consensual. The girl could be younger than him by 1 month and it wouldn't make a difference.

Not that I agree with many of these statutory rape laws but it wouldn't matter if it was a 17 year old woman and a 16 year old boyfriend. Its not gender specific.

Such is the hypocrisy of society as seen by some of the posts on here.

Yeah, we freely admit there is a double standard, and it will probably never change. Let's look at it realistically, who was damaged here ? She may have brought some pain and shame onto herself, and her family has undoubtedly been harmed by this, but the boy is fine. He is scarred in no way, and is probably doing nothing different than he does in the back seat of dads' minivan on weekends.

I bet moms all over are saying "This better not ever happen to my little boy", but they don't realize that their pride and joy probably knows as much about sex as she does, and maybe more. It is simply a human act that we make way too much fuss about.

I thought the candles were a nice touch !
