When Trump heard there was a Purple Heart presentation at Walter Reed he said "Hey! I can do that!" and hurried over. "Congratulations!" "Tremendous!", kiss the wife, awkward pats on the shoulder, and bending down and pointing at the recipient for the cameras. No "thank you for your service".
Good God this man is an idiot. The look on the recipient's face as Trump hams it up for the camera pretty much says it all. The poor vet had to suffer twice--once for the service that earned him the Purple Heart and a second time when he was forced to suffer our fool of a president. He deserves another Purple Heart for that.
Trump has no idea what is happening in the room he is in. He doesn't remember why he is there and the importance of his presence. He is clearly in the throes of dementia and it is rapidly worsening.
That was awkward and strange. Especially the '"congratulations", and kissing the wife two times. Maybe he thought he was handing out an Emmy. I'll give him a little credit (not much) for making an effort though.
This happened today, right? I'm surprised he was not Florida

Yet somehow he defeated the world's smartest woman despite her being given debate questions in advance.
